Certification/selection: No hazardous-area classification is attributed to standard variants by analogy with /Ex devices. Verify specific ordering code, process/electrical connection and model-specific safety certificate before use.
PTM/RS485 — analog/digital coexistence
Two-channel integration: The page identifies a 4–20 mA path alongside RS485. Confirm whether both are active in the actual model, the host’s Modbus address/baud/parity and register map, and the analog channel’s lower/upper span settings. A Modbus numeric value cannot be interpreted safely without its scale and data type.
Pressure application: Choose the correct nominal pressure class and compatible materials within the broad configurable STS portfolio. RS485 network termination, grounding, cable length and surge protection should be checked in the intended electrical environment.
