AFRISO original catalog and model-level QA

AFRISO separates DMU 04 hygienic transmitters from the DMU 05 P precision series. DMU 05 P has many exact order codes, e.g., 31742 (−1/0 bar), 31751 (0–1 bar), 31760 (0–60 bar); listed ATEX is only an option. Check both original product pages and any certificate before claiming Ex.

DMU 04 versus DMU 05 P — hygienic connection or precision

Selection pointModel-specific evidence
DMU 04Flush G½B DIN 3852 E; 316L wetted surfaces and FDA-compliant fill oil; 8–32 VDC, 4–20 mA.
DMU 04 temperatureMedium −10…125°C, briefly 150°C for 60 minutes; ambient −40…85°C. Higher-temperature options are separate.
DMU 05 PDigitally compensated oil-filled silicon cell with 16-bit conversion; listed deviation <±0.1% FSO.
DMU 05 P interface12–36 VDC; analog current variants and optional RS485 Modbus RTU for offset, range and damping.
DMU 05 P response<5 ms; output option and communication must match the order.

Choose DMU 04 for the required process interface and cleanability, and evaluate DMU 05 P when precision is the main requirement. A 16-bit converter does not itself guarantee 16-bit system accuracy. The DMU 05 P overview also mentions RS232 separately; do not interchange RS232 and RS485 cabling or protocol assumptions. Confirm the actual interface from the ordered code.
