STS TM/N Passive Submersible Level Sensor

Related STS PTM.MT/N/Ex level probe, NOT exact TM/N
Related STS PTM.MT/N/Ex level probe, NOT exact TM/N; model-family illustration only.

Passive mV-output level probe, pressure range 1–250 mH₂O, precision to 0.25% FS per STS product index. Stainless steel/titanium options; standard TM/N is not the hazardous-area certified TM/N/Ex.

Certification note: Do not apply certification from similar passive, Ex or programmable transmitters to an unmatched part. Installation approvals require current model-specific certificate and ordered code.

TM/N passive level — transmitter versus sensor

Signal-chain decision: TM/N is described as a passive millivolt-output hydrostatic level probe. Its signal should be connected to a compatible bridge/sensor front end or conditioner; it is not interchangeable with a powered 4–20 mA PTM/N transmitter just because both devices can be immersed.

Level conversion: Convert pressure into liquid height using the actual process-liquid density and local reference pressure. Choose the nominal mH₂O span with allowance for hydrostatic column, installation depth and occasional pressure transients. Venting/reference arrangements, protective cable, water ingress and cleaning access affect installed accuracy.

Product and photo scope: The pictured PTM.MT/N/Ex is explicitly a sibling, not the TM/N. Keep its image caption and do not infer /Ex certification from the picture; match TM/N materials and ordered connector first.
