RT-CO₂ — room CO₂ control versus RTX line

Produal RT-CO₂ is a room transmitter family for occupied-space carbon-dioxide monitoring. Compare the exact RT output, display and mounting options against the separately named RTX-CO₂ series before substitution; a related product family does not guarantee identical electrical terminals or controller points. For ventilation control, position the sensor away from open windows/supply jets and commission the actual range/baseline behavior. A room NDIR ppm signal is not equivalent to a generic VOC Index.

Commissioning and application guidance

For a VAV demand-controlled ventilation loop, log actual CO₂ ppm, verify selected output span and any room temperature points, then map alarm thresholds to a documented ventilation strategy. Humidity and BACnet are not mandatory on every RT-CO2; compare RT and RTX series before upgrading from an analog-only control system. If using automated baseline calibration, ensure the monitored room reaches a representative outdoor background periodically. The manufacturer’s RT transmitter is intended for measurement/ordinary BAS and is not a worker-entry gas alarm.
