24/7 CO₂ — unusual 50,000 ppm upper range

BAPI’s 24/7 duct/rough-service CO₂ family includes 0–2,000 through 50,000 ppm concentration-span options. The 50,000 ppm variant serves a different measurement class than typical occupancy ventilation demand; choose the span for expected process/room exposure so low-end resolution is appropriate. Verify 0–5 or 0–10 V output scaling, duct insertion/exposure, source-air mixing and the maker calibration procedure. A rugged case does not establish an Ex-approved gas detector.

Commissioning and application guidance

This is a useful CO₂ model for continuously occupied facilities where an ordinary sensor’s automatic background calibration could drift because no fresh-air minimum occurs. Design the output scaling around the ordered 2k/2.5k/5k/10k/50k span. Provide proper placement in representative duct mixed flow or wall space, select the right enclosure and reference against a traceable CO₂ instrument during commissioning. BAPI references ASHRAE 62.1-2022 addendum ab for certain 2,500-ppm models; this does not itself certify an installed ventilation system.
