HT-2XX — air-velocity transmitter measurement location

HT-2XX is the EMS air velocity transmitter family. Air speed measurement is sensitive to location and duct flow profile, so specify probe insertion, alignment with actual flow direction, upstream disturbance distance and a practical calibration point. An air velocity reading in m/s must not be reported as volume flow without duct area and a validated flow profile/traverse relationship. Verify the probe’s measuring range, media temperature limit and controller output from the actual manufacturer suffix rather than borrowing a differential-pressure flow transmitter’s specification.
