RTX-VOC — room air-quality output semantics
Produal RTX-VOC is a room VOC transmitter for building air-quality monitoring. The sensing element/output may produce a relative VOC indication rather than compound-specific mass concentration, so confirm its actual scale, baseline handling and measurement principle before mapping it to BMS alarms. It should not be substituted for an NDIR CO₂ transmitter where ppm carbon dioxide is required. Verify analog/digital output, wall location and sensor service intervals for the exact Produal code.

Commissioning and application guidance
RTX-VOC supports control actions based on relative indoor air contamination and room temperature. Configure gas-index interpretation and P/PI loops deliberately: a VOC spike during housekeeping should not silently drive an inappropriate overnight fan schedule or defeat critical ventilation. BACnet/Modbus availability and PIR or relay outputs are selected options, so use the exact product code and up-to-date I/O documentation. Distinguish Produal RTX-VOC from RTX-CO2: the former’s gas channel is not a calibrated NDIR ppm CO₂ sensor.
