Quantum Prime — VOC-equivalent versus CO₂ measurement
BAPI Quantum Prime is a room IAQ sensor with VOC response and options for temperature/humidity and an inferred CO₂-equivalent value. A CO₂-equivalent derived from VOC or occupancy algorithms is not the same as a calibrated infrared CO₂ concentration, particularly in rooms with solvent sources. Verify the actual suffix’s output channels, sensor scale and control-system interpretation. Place it away from fresh paint and cleaning chemical point sources if the goal is representative building ventilation trends.

Commissioning and application guidance
For demand-controlled ventilation the BAPI CO₂e output can be an occupancy/odor proxy, but do not publish it as a laboratory CO₂ ppm reading or apply CO₂ legal limits to that signal. If a WELL/RESET or building standard requires measured CO₂, specify a genuine optical CO₂ channel in addition. Metal oxide VOC sensing reacts to cleaning agents and building finishes, so commissioning should test ventilation response to cleaning offgassing and long-term algorithm baselines. Verify selected Quantum Prime output wiring and optional T/RH/display/override codes.
