MPS A2L — refrigerant-specific thresholds are not interchangeable

The A2L refrigerant version is intended for refrigerants such as R-32, R-454A/B/C and R-1234ze. NevadaNano publishes response limits in %LFL that are refrigerant-dependent: for example, its current table starts at 5% LFL for R-32 but 9% LFL for R-454B. Do not apply one universal ppm threshold or copy limits from the MPS A3 propane model.

For HVAC leak-mitigation design, use the refrigerant named on the equipment and current sensor order code to establish response, alarm logic, placement and test method. The manufacturer’s A2L table states UL 60335-2-40 Annex LL compliance and ATEX/IECEx certification for S4 only, not for every physical package or a complete HVAC system. A sensor component alone does not establish an installed unit’s compliance.
