XGZP6895A — amplified analog signal
The XGZP6895A offers an amplified analog pressure output with 3.3 V or 5 V variants; it should not be connected as an I²C digital sensor merely because other XGZP devices use that protocol. Confirm the transfer function between pressure and output voltage, the ordered pressure-reference type and its calibration/compensation span. A supply mismatch may affect ratiometric readings. Wet media compatibility and the physical pressure port require confirmation before choosing a version for liquid systems.
XGZP6895A — Ratiometric Analog Differential Pressure — engineering specifications
Original CFSensor model documentation differentiates the family’s hardware choices. Ranges and options below are manufacturer declarations, not guaranteed simultaneous performance of every part number.
| Design item | Manufacturer model evidence | Engineering implications |
|---|---|---|
| Principle | Piezoresistive silicon differential sensor with internal analog signal conditioner | Requires analog-to-digital acquisition, unlike I²C XGZP6895D. |
| Supply / transfer | 4.75–5.25 V for the OEM-listed 5 V model; the catalog also advertises optional 3.3 V versions | Output is ratiometric to the selected reference: do not mix 5 V data with a 3.3 V code. |
| Analog signal | Manufacturer example 0.2–4.7 V, conditioned voltage output | NOT a current-loop 4–20 mA industrial field transmitter. |
| Portfolio ranges | −100 kPa…0…2.5 to 700 kPa family-dependent | Choose the calibrated SKU; a wide portfolio is not a single multi-range instrument. |
| Published accuracy | ±2.5% for CFSensor’s listed model/comparison table | External NXP parts in a comparison table do not define a guaranteed replacement footprint. |
| Media | Noncorrosive gas, air and compatible liquid in maker description | Verify specific housing, seals and liquid exposure for the ordered code. |
| Compensated vs operated | 0…60 °C compensated; −30…+100 °C operating | Temperature drift outside compensated band must be budgeted. |
| Housing / pins | Six-pin SIP package with dual pneumatic vents | Check pinout, mechanical barb dimensions and tubing fit before any NXP replacement. |
Installation and OEM qualification
The CFSensor comparison list includes MPX5010DP/5050DP/5100DP-class parts as application alternatives, not automatic pin-for-pin equivalents. Validate reference voltage, zero offset, ratiometric slope, span tolerances and port orientation on the assembly. For 0.2–4.7 V analog, estimate error from reference ripple and MCU ADC input loading; do not connect output to an I²C bus or 24 V PLC input. Use manufacturer qualification and application-specific leakage/chemical testing before selecting liquid/wet services.
