XGZP6891D — low-range digital pressure
The 6891D’s published family options reach up to 100 kPa and use I²C with 3.0–5.5 V supply. That is a different integration problem from an amplified analog XGZP6895A. Evaluate pressure resolution at the intended operating differential and avoid choosing the entire 100 kPa family maximum for very small airflow pressure drops without checking the actual low-range variant. Port orientation, connector sealing and compensation near ambient temperature limits can dominate installed accuracy.
XGZP6891D — Low-Power Digital Differential Pressure — engineering specifications
Original CFSensor model documentation differentiates the family’s hardware choices. Ranges and options below are manufacturer declarations, not guaranteed simultaneous performance of every part number.
| Design item | Manufacturer model evidence | Engineering implications |
|---|---|---|
| Sensor type | Digital piezoresistive differential pressure including vacuum/positive options | Do not apply absolute atmospheric-pressure formulas to a two-port differential device. |
| Pressure selection | Maker portfolio −100…+100 kPa with low-pressure variants near ±0.5 kPa | SKU calibration determines actual zero/full scale and resolution. |
| Digital readout | Calibrated I²C with temperature data | Analog-output XGZP6891A is a separate product. |
| Operating voltage | CFSensor catalogue 3.0–5.5 V; alternate official listings show optional 2.5–5.5 V | Source revision/order-code discrepancy; verify board power before final PCB. |
| Compensated environment | 0…60 °C for calibrated temperature range | Accuracy beyond compensated ambient should not be assumed. |
| Electrical consumption | Maker family describes low measurement current, about 5 µA per measurement and <100 nA standby at 25 °C on some configurations | Do not claim those microamp currents for continuous polling or all revisions. |
| Gas compatibility | Dry noncorrosive gas or air | Condensation or liquid-column pressure can damage an unprotected die. |
Installation and OEM qualification
This device is attractive for low-power pneumatic/medical equipment; power budget needs to separate measurement pulse current from standby leakage and controller consumption. Confirm signed differential pressure representation, factory calibration scale, I²C measurement-ready status and host supply. The OEM’s general website uses different voltage endpoints for variants/editions, so test the actual part and record drawing/date rather than merging them. A high common-mode/static pressure tolerance is not implied by a small differential calibrated range.
