NO2-A1 — negative electrochemical signal and ordered variant
Alphasense identifies NO2-A1 as a 0–20 ppm, three-electrode A-Series nitrogen-dioxide cell. The original product data quotes −250 to −650 nA/ppm sensitivity and T90 below 50 seconds for its stated step-test conditions. The negative signal polarity matters when designing the potentiostat, analog-to-digital chain and ppm conversion; incorrect channel polarity may conceal a real gas event.
The NO2-A1+ integrated smart/digital version is distinct from the analog NO2-A1 and must not inherit the same host interface assumption. Review other oxidizing gases, sample path losses and sensor temperature/humidity effects in the finished detector. The sensor’s service-life and response statements do not independently certify an occupational alarm system or an Ex installation.
