ZE03-C₂H₄ — ethylene as a specific gas
The ZE03 ethylene variant is cataloged for C₂H₄ rather than generic VOC concentration. A controlled ripening room should use the ethylene-specific cell calibration and actual 0–100 ppm span from its manufacturer version, with host UART/analog unit mapping. Background organic gases, humidity, temperature and cleaning agents may affect measurement and maintenance intervals. A ZE03 module’s identical-looking shell does not mean it shares the calibration of a NO₂, ozone or chlorine variant.

Commissioning, cross sensitivity and safety
Ethylene is a plant hormone important in fruit and vegetable ripening; a few-ppm trend can matter operationally, but the supplier must supply the exact C₂H₄ calibration, cross-sensitivity and detection limit before a control threshold is asserted. Avoid copying other ZE03 gas element UART decimal scaling, baseline polarity or response time. Pair with separate CO₂/temperature/RH data for representative storage conditions and use an instrument-specific reference test.
