MH-Z19D — verify revision rather than copying MH-Z19B

The MH-Z19D is identified as an NDIR CO₂ module with UART and PWM interfaces. The current AirAlign source does not establish its exact range, tolerance or serial framing, so do not copy those values from MH-Z19B or MH-Z19C. For replacement work, request the latest MH-Z19D datasheet and compare operating voltage, connector, command set, configured CO₂ span, start-up and baseline calibration behavior. A visually similar NDIR product is not evidence of firmware or mechanical interchangeability.

The published manufacturer values below are bounded to their orderable range, test conditions and actual interface, not general guarantees about every relative in the same sensor family.

System integration and calibration

The updated MH-Z19D is similar mechanically to MH-Z19C but the producer’s current D page defines 0–50°C ambient and specific factory 2k/5k/10k ordered ranges. A swap requires review of UART command mapping, startup behavior and internal ABC settings, not only identical 32.9×19.7×8.6mm size. Production CO₂-enriched zones and 24/7 rooms may defeat assumed clean-air calibration; establish a reference calibration procedure and supervise the CO₂ module separately from any personnel safety alarm.
