Measurement Principle

Non-dispersive infrared technology measures selective CO₂ optical absorption. Drift compensation, baseline calibration, interface scaling, physical configuration and model-specific precision are not identical across the Cubic CO₂ portfolio.

AirAlign engineering note: Two IR sources can assist compensation for aging of light sources and certain optical drift mechanisms, but do not remove the need to verify instrument accuracy after installation. Higher CO₂ concentration range variants must be checked with the precise product ordering documentation.

Applications

CO₂ monitoring in OEM HVAC devices, ventilation systems, environmental sensing, agriculture and related manufacturer-specified applications. High concentration or safety-critical use requires the corresponding model and a validated complete instrument.
