Measurement Principle

Non-dispersive infrared technology measures selective CO₂ optical absorption. Drift compensation, baseline calibration, interface scaling, physical configuration and model-specific precision are not identical across the Cubic CO₂ portfolio.

AirAlign engineering note: The <37 µA average is a duty-cycle figure, not the instantaneous CO₂ reading current. Baseline correction can bias data when fresh-air exposure does not occur. Two manufacturer accuracy expressions are distinguished by test-note conditions and cannot be combined into an unconditional single precision number.

Applications

CO₂ monitoring in OEM HVAC devices, ventilation systems, environmental sensing, agriculture and related manufacturer-specified applications. High concentration or safety-critical use requires the corresponding model and a validated complete instrument.
