Alphasense IRC-AT — thermopile NDIR and analog front-end boundaries — detailed technical comparison and documentation

Manufacturer source data are specific to the selected sensor physics, ordered range and application conditions. Factory product family options do not all apply to a single device.

Design, gas calibration and safety boundaries

IRC-AT is a bare thermopile NDIR element for OEM development, not a field transmitter with an I²C/Modbus output on its own. The manufacturer publishes universal linearisation guidance and a distinct thermistor, so complete instrument design must include optical drive, analog readout, calculated transfer function and site calibration. Do not copy IRC-A1’s process ±4%FS claim to IRC-AT because the current IRC-AT maker page leaves process accuracy as to-be-confirmed. Controlling humidity, sample port dust, ambient light and certified instrument housing is equally important.
