SENSORIX · CARBON MONOXIDE (CO) SENSORS

Sensorix CO Electrochemical OEM Sensor Family

Sensorix Smart manufacturer standard format example
Official Sensorix Smart housing-format example; gas chemistry and exact order-code packaging are not identified by this generic sample image.

OEM carbon monoxide electrochemical gas sensors in various mechanical formats.

Manufacturer: Sensorix GmbH (Germany)

OEM sensor safety distinction: This is a gas-sensing component or series, not a complete intrinsically safe or flameproof gas detector. ATEX/IECEx compliance for the finished instrument cannot be inferred from the OEM sensor.

CO electrochemical sensors — two distinct Sensorix calibration ranges

The official Sensorix CO family catalogue lists CO 500 and CO 2000 as separate three-electrode carbon-monoxide cells. This AirAlign page represents the family; it is not one orderable part and its specification values must not be generalized across both gas spans.

Original Sensorix modelCO spanT90 responsePublished ambient
CO 5000–500 ppm≤30 s−40…+50°C
CO 20000–2,000 ppm≤40 s−40…+50°C

OEM electrical and procurement selection

Each three-electrode cell requires the proper potentiostat / low-noise current-to-voltage electronics, reference/working electrode handling, zero and calibrated CO span gas. The manufacturer’s format list includes 4S (common OEM), 7S (often fixed detectors), Classic 4-pin/8-pin, Smart 8-pin with programmed EPROM and compact Mini; same chemical gas does not imply identical package pinout, current sensitivity or cross-sensitivity. No single sensitivity, zero drift, bias or service-life figure is claimed here because the manufacturer portfolio page does not specify a uniform value for all versions.

Safety system boundary

CO 500 may be appropriate to investigate for ordinary alarm concentration bands; CO 2000 is a higher-span family requiring its own thresholds. The response values are isolated cell T90 under OEM conditions; inlet tubing, dust filters and controller averaging add end-to-end delay. A component catalogue is not evidence of an EN 50291 / UL 2034 certified domestic alarm or a fully certified industrial gas detector.
