NAP-508 — important regional datasheet differences
Nemoto’s European NAP-508 product description lists a 0–1,000 ppm measuring span, 2,000 ppm overload and a 10-year warranted lifetime. A separate Japanese manufacturer page describes a 0–2,000 ppm detection range and a life prediction exceeding 12 years, with a different published test/sensitivity schedule. These values are not interchangeable universal specifications. Confirm which datasheet, jurisdiction and design revision apply to the shipped component.
The NAP-508 is mechanically similar to NAP-505 but the maker distinguishes it by a dark-blue cap and different output/life characteristics. Electronics or firmware designed around NAP-505 sensitivity should not be carried over unverified. The sensor-level UL recognition and expected life do not certify a finished CO alarm’s required service interval, alarm performance or labeling.
