Product and Application

  • Manufacturer: RenewAire
  • Model or named family: EV90
  • Equipment: Residential energy recovery ventilator in the RenewAire EV product family
  • Application: Outdoor-air ventilation and heat or energy recovery, subject to the selected model and installation

Technical Selection Considerations

Confirm exact model or ordering suffix, manufacturer-supported airflow at operating static pressure, energy recovery mode, filter rating, sound data, controls, climate conditions, duct size, supply power and regional certification. Product-family literature may refer to multiple models or revisions.

EV90 — small residential ERV performance at pressure

RenewAire EV90 is a residential energy-recovery ventilator. An EV series designation is not a guarantee of an exact installed 90 CFM: delivered airflow varies with external static pressure, duct restriction and filter loading. Confirm the manufacturer’s EV90 fan curve, balanced supply/extract flow, recovery core type, frost-control needs and access for replacement filters and cleaning. A ventilation unit does not independently provide space heating/cooling capacity equivalent to a split heat pump.

EV 90 — manufacturer-specific ERV selection

Typical airflow envelope40–110 CFM; actual delivered flow depends on external static pressure and balanced ductwork.
Energy recovery coreOne L-35-G5 static plate sensible/latent recovery core; do not substitute a different EV model’s core.
Standard filtrationOne MERV 8 outdoor and one MERV 8 return filter, each 9 5/8 × 10 1/2 × 1 in.
Dimensions and unit weight22 1/2 × 11 5/8 × 23 3/4 in, approximately 36 lb.
Mounting/controlIndoor ERV, multiple mounting orientations, line-cord power and low-voltage control connection, plus cross-core differential-pressure taps for airflow balancing.

RenewAire lists HVI/ETL performance or safety references, but the supplied model, regional label and specific ventilation operating point control compliance. For service, keep access to the core and filters; the maker advises inspecting filters every three months. Actual duct pressure must be measured rather than equating a nameplate airflow number with commissioning performance.
