RDD100.1RFS is a wireless thermostat and receiver kit with a specified Siemens article number. The room unit communicates by RF while the separately powered receiver switches heating demand; its terminals must not be wired as though they were the battery thermostat’s connections. Before retrofit, verify paired radio range through walls, backup operation on link loss and relay/boiler contact limits. The standard wired RDD100 is a different installation.
