Engineering and Compatibility

Verify model suffix, regional regulatory approval, supported communications, application licensing, power supply, I/O combinations and commissioning software against the original technical manual. Specific installation design should be performed by a qualified controls integrator.

The presence of BACnet, Modbus or other protocol support at product-family level does not guarantee it is enabled on every ordering code or firmware revision.

ECY-S1000 — modular system-controller sizing

Model and manufacturer technical selection: Distech’s ECLYPSE ECY-S1000 controls central plant and large HVAC systems. The current official product listing describes expansion to 20 I/O extension modules or up to 320 I/O points; the -48 version is a separate size. BACnet/IP, BACnet/SC, Modbus RTU/TCP, BACnet MS/TP and REST integration depend on system configuration, communication ports and firmware. It includes an embedded web interface for programming, alarm handling, schedules and trend logging.

Order-specific engineering and approval boundary: A bare base controller has no guaranteed 320 installed points: that is an upper expansion capacity, not a built-in point count. Verify actual ECY-S1000 or ECY-S1000-48 revision, power modules, expansion wiring, licence, network and regional certificates.
