Verify gas sensors, range, alarm limits, battery and accessories from the original manufacturer’s current datasheet before selection.

Ventis Pro5 — connected five-gas fleet safety

Ventis Pro5 may support up to five gas channels plus man-down/panic alerts, but the gas selection, connectivity and local protective function must be configured for the work task. Wireless alarm sharing requires operational network coverage; loss of connection should never suppress the worker’s local alarm or invalidate calibration. Confirm charging equipment, pump or sampling accessories and the current manufacturer certificate for the specific sensor/battery configuration before hazardous-area deployment.

Ventis Pro5 — five monitored gases and selectable connectivity

Ventis Pro5 can monitor up to five selected gases, with possible configurations including O₂, combustible gas, CO, H₂S, CO₂ and other toxic gases; ‘five gas’ describes maximum simultaneous channels, not the automatic factory sensor set. Industrial Scientific offers LENS wireless mesh, Wi-Fi or cellular connections for alarm sharing and remote monitoring, and optional sampling pumps for confined-space procedures. Those radio/pump arrangements are configuration-specific.

During a fleet rollout, test stand-alone audible/visual/vibration alarms even when a mesh peer, cellular service or Wi-Fi gateway is unavailable. Configure operator-specific alarms, sensor IDs, man-down/panic action, battery and pump acceptance against the exact instrument. Wireless alerting can assist an emergency response but does not replace locally tested safety actions, a current bump-test program or instrument-specific hazardous-area approval.
