Industrial Scientific Tango TX1 Single-Gas Monitor
Portable single-gas monitor with DualSense redundant sensors; supported gas configurations differ by sensor and ordered SKU.
Original manufacturer: Industrial Scientific. Distribution through Prosense does not make this a Prosense-manufactured product.
ATEX/IECEx approval references published by original manufacturer; verify the precise sensor and instrument certificate.

Tango TX1 — redundant sensing channels
Tango TX1’s DualSense architecture is designed to provide redundant sensing of a selected single gas; the number of fitted sensors should not be confused with two different target gases. Confirm the actual gas, redundancy diagnostics, calibration/response and audible/vibration alarm profile. Redundancy can strengthen reliability but is not a substitute for bump tests, maintenance or independent risk assessment. The ordered sensor version and current instrument approval determine hazardous-location suitability.
Tango TX1 — two sensors serve one selected gas
Industrial Scientific confirms that its DualSense Tango TX1 uses two sensors of the same target gas and algorithms that present one gas reading; it is not a two-gas detector. The OEM offers CO, H₂S, NH₃, NO₂, SO₂, HCN and low-hydrogen-interference CO options with different measurement spans. Both installed sensor types must match the ordered gas; changing the monitor to another gas requires compatible sensors and a new safety/calibration review.
The maker describes an always-on replaceable battery with approximately two-year runtime dependent on use and an optional 110 dB AlarmAmp. Redundant components reduce certain failures but do not eliminate bump tests, calibration or user training. Select the current Ex certificate by region/instrument configuration and never infer that a replacement sensor or battery maintains every original approval without checking the manual.
