Technical Selection Considerations
AHU families can include multiple ordering codes, airflow sizes and configurations. Select fan operating points against external static pressure, appropriate filters based on project air quality requirements, heat recovery type, coil capacity, condensate and hygiene requirements, access zones and control-system compatibility. Do not assume all advertised options are included in one delivered unit.

D-AHU Modular R — rotary heat-recovery selection
The Modular R is distinguished by a rotary heat-recovery wheel; assess sensible/latent energy transfer, permitted exhaust-to-supply carryover and wheel frost/cleaning provisions. In applications with contaminant-sensitive exhaust, a rotary wheel may require a different hygiene strategy than a plate exchanger. Fan curves, filter pressure drop, access and included motor/control options depend on the selected Daikin AHU package. The R suffix should not be assumed equivalent to Modular P.

The 25,000 m³/h manufacturer ceiling does not apply automatically to the counterflow Modular P model or to all ten R sizes. Specify rotor type, leakage and pressure drop separately.
