Model-specific wiring and selection — THERMA HT340S

The wired THERMA HT340S unit is shown with 85mm / 125mm / 20mm dimensions and 3V DC (2 x AAA Alkaline Battery) room-unit supply. These determine mounting compatibility and battery service; a wire to the boiler does not automatically power the thermostat.

Check its normally-open relay rating of 2A/30VDC (Resistive Load) 0.5A/125VAC (Resistive Load) against the actual appliance’s thermostat input. Resistive-load figures do not verify safe switching of motors or unlisted voltages, and should not be confused with a separate RF receiver rating.

The recorded temperature setpoint span is (5°C) – (30°C), and the manufacturer-listed sensitivity is (-2.0°C) – (+2.0°C). Treat sensitivity as a control parameter, not a substitute for measuring accuracy. Account for heating-system cycling, commissioning and sensor location before replacement.

Selection is specific to the wired THERMA HT340S variant: RF or smart alternatives need independent power, link and output evidence from the original General Life document.
