LEFOO LF10 Air Compressor Pressure Switch

Mechanical Air Compressor Pressure Switch for air applications. Selection depends on the actual pressure configuration, electrical system and application limits—not only the body shape.

Manufacturer Technical Data

LF10 OEM lists four pressure classes from 25–100 to 70–190psi with corresponding factory cut-in/cut-out and differential; basic LF10 contacts are NC 120VAC 20A / 240VAC 12A, while LF10A high-current variant lists 26A/26A. Do not treat the LF10A electrical option as baseline LF10. Optional compressor unloader/lever and one/four port manifold must be selected explicitly. Original OEM manual lists IP20, which limits exposed installation.

AirAlign Engineering Selection

Different LF10 models have different operating bands and motor contacts. The LF10A variant does not convert a basic LF10 automatically into a 26 A switch; check the delivered contact option and compressor start load. The maker specifies an IP20 housing, so do not treat the bare switch as suitable for unprotected washdown.

Compare cut-in and cut-out operating pressures, process medium and maximum permissible working pressure separately. When changing equipment, verify the original control function (automatic run control, high cutout, low-water safeguard or manual-reset protection) before wiring another device into the same circuit.

Installation and System Integration

Switching and supply

Confirm motor starting duty, input voltage, contact topology, overload protection and any separate electrical isolation requirements. Component contact data is not a complete panel rating.

Pressure and process connection

Match original pressure setting, allowed hysteresis, NPT versus G-thread, sealing method and safety relief protections; the switching band is not the burst pressure.

Environmental protection

Review temperature, enclosure and cable entry for the installation location. An electronic controller also needs correct supply polarity, short-circuit protection and moisture control.

Approval scope

Original UL, CE, TÜV or other statements apply to their documented model and revision. They must not be represented as ATEX/IECEx approval for an unverified order code.

LF10 Operating Range and Variant Selection

LF10 is a mechanical tank-pressure controller for small electrically driven air compressors. The manufacturer lists several operating-pressure classes; these are different selectable configurations, not one universal adjustment span guaranteed for every supplied switch. Record the actual order code and factory setpoints before replacing a switch.

LF10 listed operating classExample factory cut-in / cut-outListed differential
25–100 psi55 / 80 psi20–35 psi
35–150 psi85 / 115 psi30–40 psi
50–175 psi110 / 150 psi35–55 psi
70–190 psi130 / 175 psi40–55 psi

Interpretation: Cut-in is when the compressor restarts as tank pressure falls; cut-out is the upper tank-pressure shutdown. Verify whether the compressor motor and receiver ratings support both settings. A pressure switch is not a substitute for a correctly rated independent safety relief valve.

LF10 vs LF10A vs LF10-L

LF10

LEFOO lists normally-closed contacts with 20 A at 120 VAC or 12 A at 240 VAC. One- and four-port manifold options exist; verify connection gender/thread and unloader equipment.

LF10A

Separate higher-current model family: the maker lists 26 A at 120 VAC and 26 A at 240 VAC. Do not substitute based on housing similarity; check order-code marking and motor circuit.

LF10-L

Distinct L1H/L4H family with its own pressure-adjustment and differential configuration. See the dedicated LF10-L engineering profile.

Selection evidence

Confirm the exact pressure class, cut-in/cut-out pair, port count, thread form, unloader valve, manual lever and current rating using the current LEFOO order drawing.

Regulatory and Service Boundaries

LEFOO provides model-family certificates and downloads. A family or component recognition listing does not establish a blanket hazardous-location approval or guarantee that a different suffix is interchangeable. Confirm certificate model lists and installation instructions against the supplied device. Work on live compressor electrical circuits and pressure vessels requires appropriate isolation and qualified service procedures.

Primary evidence: LEFOO LF10 official pressure ranges and order options; manufacturer drawing and manual index.

LF10 — compressor pressure and safety relief

LF10 is an air-compressor pressure-control switch that sets normal motor cutout and restart pressure. Confirm the installed motor circuit, automatic restart, air-unloader port and contact rating before using it on a tank. The tank must still carry an independent pressure relief device rated to the vessel; the switch is not a safety valve. LF10-L, LF10-W and standard LF10 may differ in connection, control and medium and should not be treated as automatic substitutes.
