STS PTM/N Programmable Submersible Level Transmitter

Programmable pressure-based level transmitter with 4–20 mA output and selectable spans; stainless-steel and titanium variants. The standard PTM/N designation does not by itself imply PTM/N/Ex or maritime PTM.MT/N/Ex certifications.

Order-code and hazardous-area check: Exact pressure span, materials, connector and electrical output depend on the ordered version. Do not treat standard and /Ex model suffixes or certification annexes as interchangeable.
PTM/N — programmable level loop
Analog-loop configuration: The PTM/N is a programmable, submersible pressure-based level transmitter with a 4–20 mA output. The transmitter’s configured lower/upper pressure values should match the receiving PLC/display scale, with below-range or loop-break faults handled explicitly.
Hydrostatic installation: Confirm process density and pressure reference when converting pressure into water level; document probe elevation and cable entry/vent protection. Stainless-steel versus titanium wetted construction should be chosen for actual chemical exposure, not solely the product family label.
Model-family boundaries: PTM/N/RS485 and PTM/N/SDI-12 have different digital interface requirements; PTM/N/Ex and PTM.MT/N/Ex carry distinct certification scopes. The standard PTM/N name alone proves none of those features.

The linked HTML overview lists a much broader pressure range, voltage outputs and temperature limits that conflict with this submersible sheet. Do not combine them into one specification. The values above describe the identified PDF revision; obtain the matching current order sheet. Filter choice trades response speed against noise, and fluid density must be included when converting head to level.
