Sensience Therm-O-Disc 33J RTD Temperature Sensor

The 33J is a Sensience (Therm-O-Disc) platinum thin-film resistance temperature detector platform introduced at Chillventa 2026. According to the manufacturer’s trade-show release it supports voltage output and 4–20 mA variants for embedded and industrial thermal-measurement systems, including liquid-cooling applications.

Manufacturer-published specifications

IEC 60751 Class A and Class B RTD options; stated family sensing range −40 to +550 °C; configurable cables and output interface choices; 15-year design-life goal according to Sensience’s launch communications. The specified combinations and maximum allowable temperature for an individual assembly depend on the exact sensing element, wiring, sheath and ordered configuration. These are not blanket accuracy claims over the whole range.

October 2026 manufacturer availability update: Sensience has announced the 33J platinum RTD with 4–20 mA output and sample availability, in addition to earlier IEC 60751 Class A/B, -40 to +550°C and 15-year design-life statements. Samples do not establish all OEM mechanical/sensor configurations as stocked finished SKUs. Original maker 33J announcement.
