1550 nm POF — interrogator compatibility, not Wi-Fi

SHUTE’s 1550 nm polymer optical-fiber humidity sensing technology relies on a matched C-band optical interrogator, not a conventional radio network or directly readable 4–20 mA output. Confirm optical connector, fiber length, bending and environmental humidity calibration for the chosen project construction. The wavelength is an interrogation/optical-design parameter rather than a direct indicator of usable %RH accuracy. Custom fiber installations need their own safety and certification assessment.
