Accuracy, measurement range, electrical outputs, probe length and installation environment depend on variant and current revision. Check manufacturer data prior to equipment specification.
LFH70 high-temperature humidity
A high-temperature humidity sensor must distinguish process air/probe temperature from the transmitter electronics ambient rating. Confirm whether LFH70 uses a separated probe, the permitted humidity range at process temperature, sensor recovery after condensation and its temperature compensation. Check the supplied display, output protocol and cable design; an ordinary indoor LFH10 is not a drop-in alternative for high-temperature exposure.
LFH70 — hot probe versus cooler electronics rating
| Selection parameter | Verified manufacturer evidence |
|---|---|
| Measurement | 0–100% RH and temperature probe −40 to +180°C (sensor exposure, not the LCD enclosure). |
| RH accuracy | ±2% RH to 90% RH at 20°C; ±2.3% RH above 90% RH at 20°C. |
| Temperature accuracy | ±0.2°C at 20°C, subject to the manufacturer’s full temperature accuracy curve. |
| Electrical | RS485, 0–10 V or 4–20 mA variants, 15–35 VDC / 24 VAC ±20%; optional dual SPDT relays. |
| Electronics operating ambient | LCD/electronic enclosure −20 to +60°C; separate probe and cable assembly required in hot process locations. |
Engineering note: The 180°C figure applies to the probe, not the display or power electronics. For condensing, contaminated or high-temperature processes, verify filter, sealing, recovery and maintenance protocol.
