Accuracy, measurement range, electrical outputs, probe length and installation environment depend on variant and current revision. Check manufacturer data prior to equipment specification.

LFH52 outdoor environmental installation

Outdoor RH/temperature measurement requires a radiation shield, air exchange and moisture-resistant cable entry appropriate for the exact LFH52 enclosure. Direct sunshine can bias temperature independently of electronics accuracy, while condensation and rain exposure can compromise an unprotected RH element. Confirm the installed output, supply, mounting position and sensor service access before comparing the reading to an indoor controller’s setpoint.

LFH52 — outdoor radiation shield and climate limits

RH accuracy0–100% RH; ±3% RH at 20°C and 20–80% RH; ≤10 s response reference.
Temperature0–50°C or −20 to +60°C variant; digital sensor ±0.5°C at 20°C or resistive option per model code.
Outputs4–20 mA, 0–10 V or RS485 Modbus by suffix.
Weather protectionManufacturer lists a five-layer adjustable radiation shield for sunlight and rain; IP65 assembly.
Working environment−20 to +60°C, 5–95% RH non-condensing; PC/ABS housing/probe.

Engineering note: A radiation shield reduces solar-heating bias but does not by itself define a meteorological reference station; choose mounting height and clearance away from heat sources. Check chosen communications interface and weatherproof cable glands.
