S-DPX004 — four analog loops and alarm relays
Prosense specifies four 4–20 mA analog detector inputs, a visible OLED screen, 500 logged events and configurable alarm/fault/overrange dry-contact relays for S-DPX004. The four analog input channels are not equivalent to the digital RS485 detector input capacity of an S-DPX128; Modbus output to a supervisory platform does not add 128 field input channels.
At commissioning, record detector gas identity and scaling (ppm, %LEL or %vol) for each input. Prove open-circuit fault, Alarm 1/2/3, overrange and power-loss behavior separately before connecting shutdown or ventilation interlocks. The enclosure rating or an Ex-certified detector on the input does not automatically make the control panel suitable for installation in an explosive atmosphere. The exact model certificate, installation location and commissioning manual govern.
