Prosense SafeVader Indoor Gas Detector Series
Continuous LEL, toxic, oxygen and VOC monitoring range designed for safe-area indoor installations, with LCD interface and cloud-linked options.
Manufacturer: Prosense
SafeVader source explicitly describes safe areas/indoor applications; do not assume suitability for classified hazardous zones.
Applications & Integration
Used in fixed industrial or indoor gas monitoring systems with detector variants selected by target gas, measurement range, instrument output and installation requirements. This is a detector product family, not a bare OEM sensor component.

SafeVader — detector sensor module and output matching
| Selection point | Model-family evidence |
|---|---|
| Measured gases and sensor options | Manufacturer offers IR, catalytic, electrochemical, PID and semiconductor modules for applications involving LEL, oxygen, toxic gases and VOC. The selected sensor cartridge determines range and performance. |
| Electronics and supply | 12–28 VDC (24 V nominal) and 128×64 LCD on listed family versions; analog 4–20 mA and RS485 Modbus RTU interface options. |
| Relay outputs | Listed detector family uses two adjustable alarm contacts and one fault relay; actual relay load at 1.25 A / 30 VDC. Wire contactors rather than powering large motors directly. |
| Environment | ABS housing and IP54; maker lists −20…+60°C and non-condensing humidity limits with model-dependent notes. |
| Lifecycle and cloud | Local menu supports setpoints, module replacement and bump/function tests. Cloud reporting is described through compatible Prosense DPX panels rather than as a guaranteed stand-alone cellular modem. |
| Hazardous-area restriction | Manufacturer explicitly describes SafeVader as a safe-area indoor device; flameproof and intrinsic-safety claims for Prosense’s other detectors must not be transferred. |
Do not mix 4–20 mA and Modbus alarm semantics, and do not treat a bump test as a documented calibration. Choose an actual SV-xxxx gas suffix, check the approved sensor module and certified detection-system design.
