ZE03-Cl₂ — chlorine and corrosive exposure

ZE03-Cl₂ targets chlorine with a family-listed range near 0–20 ppm. Chlorine is reactive, so sampled tubing and protective membranes may attenuate gas before it reaches the sensor; a module mounted too far from the intended leak location may miss rapid excursions. Confirm the selected chlorine cell, environmental conditions, UART/analog scaling and calibration gas with the latest Winsen manual. End-device protective alarm behavior and enclosure material suitability must be validated independently.

ZE03-Cl₂ — chlorine-specific electrochemical signal polarity — gas-specific selection

The Winsen ZE03 electronics are a shared platform, but the Chlorine (Cl₂) electrochemical cell, calibrated units, interfering gases and analog voltage direction are model-specific.

Commissioning, cross sensitivity and safety

A chlorine gas installation around water treatment requires robust sampling materials: gas uptake into moist tubing can suppress a remotely sampled measurement. Commission against chlorine reference gas and plan point placement, emergency ventilation and fail-safe notification per actual site rules. The amplified output decreases with concentration per Winsen’s listed configuration, so a broken wire cannot simply be interpreted as safely low Cl₂. Verify the gas element’s cross-sensitivity and membrane condition over its intended service life.
