ZE03-O₃ — oxidant monitoring context

The ZE03 ozone configuration is listed around a 0–10 ppm gas-specific range. Its electrochemical sensitivity, cross-interference and calibration differ from the NO₂ and SO₂ variants; do not copy their serial concentration scaling without checking the model. For indoor ozone exposure or air-treatment equipment, placement near the generation source versus an occupied zone leads to different conclusions. Validate host alarm thresholds, airflow, humidity, maintenance and the exact gas-cell datasheet.

ZE03-O₃ — ozone with inverted voltage output convention — gas-specific selection

The Winsen ZE03 electronics are a shared platform, but the Ozone (O₃) electrochemical cell, calibrated units, interfering gases and analog voltage direction are model-specific.

SpecificationManufacturer evidenceIntegration concern
Selected gasOzone O₃ electrochemical module; not NO₂ despite both being oxidantsSet the correct gas cartridge, calibration standard and display units.
Reference span0–20 ppm in maker ZE03 multigas matrixDo not assume 0–100 ppm CO or H₂S scale.
Time response≤120 s for the O₃ reference configurationSlow response may affect a fast ozone generator shutdown threshold.
Analog signal directionManufacturer ZE03 range matrix lists ozone amplifier voltage declining ~2 V toward 0 V with rising concentrationDo not assume output rises as pollutant increases.
Power/serial5 ±0.1 V, <5 mA; 3 V logic-level UART plus amplified analog signalNot RS485 Modbus or isolated 4–20mA by default.
Operating envelope−20 to +50 °C, 15–90%RH noncondensing; family about 2 years expectedStrong oxidizer and humidity changes require service and reference checks.

Commissioning, cross sensitivity and safety

Ozone monitoring may be required near corona discharge generators or indoor disinfection rooms. O₃ sensor output in the ZE03 manufacturer matrix has a decreasing analog polarity; treat zero-volts, cable break and very-high-ozone conditions with explicit fault states, not just an inverted simple linear map. Test cross-interference against other oxidants such as NO₂ and chlorine using actual ozone-cell documentation. A gas-sensing module alone does not certify an ozone-worker exposure alarm.
