ZE630-H₂ — 1,000 ppm hydrogen cell
ZE630-H₂ is an electrochemical hydrogen module reported for a low-ppm scale up to about 1,000 ppm. That is different from catalytic percent-LEL combustible hydrogen detectors, and alarm thresholds must not be transferred without calibration and application review. Confirm actual cell life, host conditioning, sensor response, interfering gases and pressure/humidity effects for the OEM revision. Sensor PCB approval and gas sensitivity do not establish a complete Ex detector or energy-storage shutdown system.

| Parameter | OEM documentation | Engineering interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Target gas | Hydrogen H₂ in energy-storage or fuel-cell surroundings | Selectivity differs from methane IR or non-specific VOC sensors. |
| Measuring range | 0–1,000 ppm; resolution 1 ppm | A 0–1,000 ppm leak-monitor span is not 0–100% LEL explosion monitoring. |
| Electrical supply | 5.0 ±0.5 V DC; UART and PWM digital output | Separate from raw GMV-2021B MEMS resistance output. |
| Warmup / dynamics | Warmup 3 min; response <40 s; recovery approximately 2 min | Time to detect, alarm relay delay and plant isolation are separate performance terms. |
| Ambient rated | −10 to +50 °C normal; −40 to +70 °C occasional | Occasional survival range must not be treated as continuous accurate operation. |
| Humidity / storage | 15–90%RH noncondensing; storage recommended −10 to +55 °C | Condensate and hot battery compartments need protection. |
| Estimated element life | Manufacturer cites 10 years in clean air | This is not a certificate that calibration and self-test can be omitted. |
Installation, electronics and calibration
The ZE630-H₂ uses an electrochemical element with programmed UART/PWM outputs; its ppm range serves early hydrogen release monitoring, not direct flame recognition. A field installation may require several probes at plume/ventilation hotspots plus independent full-range flammable-gas or fire detection depending on risk. Compare response <40 s to required shutdown time and account for warmup/availability after power failure. A 10-year clean-air lifetime claim does not imply hazardous-area approval for a finished battery enclosure.
