ZE03-NO₂ — electrochemical selectivity

The ZE03-NO₂ gas-specific cell is listed around 0–20 ppm with UART/analog conditioned outputs in the ZE03 family. Nitrogen dioxide monitoring depends on actual interfering oxidants, sensor life, temperature and humidity, so confirm the ordered sensor’s calibration protocol rather than transferring a ZE03-O₃ curve. Specify the host’s alarm/warning logic and reading interval for the intended exposure setting. The module alone is not a certified ambient-monitoring station or a complete industrial protective gas detector.

Installation, electronics and calibration

Winsen’s standard ZE03 electronics are shared between gas species but the electrochemical cartridge and analog polarity/scale differ. The manufacturer’s matrix shows NO₂ output polarity versus other gas variants, so interpret the exact amplifier signal and serial decimal precision instead of assuming a universal 0.6–3 V increase with concentration. For roadside/parking indoor NO₂ monitoring, maintain independent CO and NO₂ channels and respective ventilation alarm thresholds. Interference from ozone and gas mixtures should be addressed using the current NO₂ sensor element datasheet. A bare module is not an ATEX-approved complete instrument.
