NH3/CR-1000 — high-range cell, overload and humidity effects
Membrapor’s December 2025 datasheet specifies a 3-electrode electrochemical NH₃ sensor, 0–1,000 ppm nominal range, 2,000 ppm maximum overload, 25 ± 8 nA/ppm signal, and T90 under 35 seconds. The 2,000 ppm figure is not a calibrated extension of the normal measurement span. Its stated resolution is electronics-dependent (below 2 ppm in the manufacturer’s reference conditions).
For agricultural/process NH₃, differentiate intermittent leak detection from continuous high-concentration measurement and validate sensor duty cycle and lifetime under actual conditions. Membrapor lists a −10 to +50 °C, 15–90% RH non-condensing environmental range and warns of humidity transients and cross sensitivity (notably oxidizing gases). Set application-specific zero checks and target-gas calibration; the sensor alone does not provide final instrument certification.
