H2S-A41 — four-electrode low-level monitoring architecture
Alphasense publishes 0–50 ppm H₂S for the A4 four-electrode H2S-A41, with a separate auxiliary electrode to help compensate baseline effects. The maker lists 1,400–2,200 nA/ppm sensitivity and T90 below 60 seconds. This makes it an appropriate candidate for low-level environmental/fence-line integration, but sensitivity and ppb-capable electronics do not prove the finished monitor’s absolute field detection limit.
Provide the specified potentiostat/front end, temperature compensation and baseline treatment, and validate humidity, wind, sampling pressure and interfering gases with the assembled instrument. A 0–50 ppm low-level cell is not a direct replacement for a high-range 10,000 ppm biogas process sensor. Confirm the A4 mechanical format and exact cell revision before committing the alarm architecture.
