LMK 808 — ceramic hydrostatic submersion
LMK 808 measures liquid level indirectly from hydrostatic pressure using a ceramic sensor. The actual calibration depends on liquid density and installed sensor elevation, while liquid chemistry affects wetted material compatibility. Confirm the probe’s pressure reference method, protective cable length, vent termination and process temperature for the ordered configuration. A submerged sensor photo cannot establish suitable abrasion resistance or a complete hazardous-area approval.

Application engineering and commissioning
LMK 808 must be suspended at a known elevation relative to tank zero; the cable must not carry unapproved mechanical load. A vented gauge level probe requires a pressure-equalizing reference path kept dry, often through desiccant and a protected junction box. If the tank is pressurized, differential/headspace compensation may be necessary. Converting pressure to meters without density correction will systematically bias readings when liquid concentration or temperature changes. Maintain the detachable interface and original overvoltage/protection requirements.
