DMP 331 — gauge or absolute process pressure

DMP 331 is a process pressure transmitter family, not a differential-pressure device just because BD|SENSORS markets separate DMD/DPT families. Establish gauge versus absolute reference, actual range and process media before ordering. Check output load, material compatibility, transient pressure and mechanical process fitting for the intended line. The published general catalog link is insufficient evidence of any particular Ex marking or of interchangeable electrical terminals across variants.

Application engineering and commissioning

DMP 331 is the industrial pressure-transmitter family distinct from DMD 331 differential and LMP 331 level. Before selecting, identify gauge versus absolute reference, negative pressure need, actual overpressure limit, 316L/seal compatibility and 4–20 mA loop load. A product listing with family Ex/SIL variants is not a blanket approval for every purchased part. For a tank installation, compute pressure from elevation, density and headspace; a sealed process tank demands proper headspace compensation.
