VAM500J7VEB

Heat-reclaim ventilation unit with total heat exchanger.

Technical Identification

  • Manufacturer: Daikin
  • Product: VAM500J7VEB
  • Product type: Heat-reclaim ventilation unit with total heat exchanger
  • Application: Fresh-air supply and extract with heat recovery where installed as designed
  • Capacity and performance: Refer to the original technical data for the exact ordering code, fan speed and external static pressure.

What to Verify

Check the installation market, airflow versus static pressure, thermal recovery conditions, filter specifications, power supply, noise, frost strategy, condensate drainage and compatibility with controls and ductwork. Stated or nominal airflow should not be confused with guaranteed installed airflow.

VAM500J7VEB — mid-size HRV duct pressure

VAM500J7VEB is a different Daikin VAM-J model size from VAM350; larger nominal airflow may require different duct section, fan operating pressure and acoustic isolation. Confirm the maker’s exact fan-speed table, heat-recovery efficiency at representative outside conditions, frost bypass/control and filter access. Equipment name alone is not a ductwork pressure-loss allowance; verify delivered supply and extract flow at commissioning.

Model selection pointOriginal manufacturer data
Airflow500 m³/h in both heat-recovery and bypass modes at 50 Hz ultra-high setting, as presented in Daikin’s VAM-J technical comparison table. This must not be treated as the duty point at all duct pressures.
External static pressureDaikin’s tabulation lists 90 Pa for the ultra-high 50 Hz reference operating condition; the complete fan curve controls installed delivery.
Heat recoveryCrossflow air-to-air total heat exchanger transferring both sensible and latent energy; selectable bypass and fresh-up modes.
Electrical supplySingle-phase 220–240 V 50 Hz / 220 V 60 Hz supply from series documentation; selected accessory heater/control loads require their own circuit review.
Environmental limitsPublished fresh-air condition range approximately −10°C to +46°C and around-unit installation area 0…40°C at ≤80% RH for the specified series.
CommissioningCheck filter maintenance, horizontal installation, condensate / condensation risk, interlocking and pressure when using fresh-up operation.

The model number corresponds to the maker’s 500 m³/h air flow class; it is not a conditioned-air cooling capacity. Select airflow and recovery/bypass mode to match building ventilation requirements, and verify the actual order revision of the J7VEB model.
