POL638.00/STD — AHU application I/O
POL638.00/STD is listed as a Siemens Climatix controller for AHU applications. Before choosing it, prepare an AHU points list with actual supply/exhaust fans, heat recovery, temperature, pressure, frost and safety interlock requirements. The controller’s physical I/O count, application version, expansion modules and supported BMS protocol must all be verified for its firmware. A controller platform alone does not deliver a certified safety shutdown or a complete built AHU logic sequence.
POL638.00/STD — 21-I/O Ethernet Climatix variant
Siemens industry catalog lists 24 VAC/DC power and 21 I/O points, with Ethernet, RS485 and KNX; Modbus, JSON and PL-Link support, USB and SD-card interfaces. This differs from POL635 without standard Ethernet and POL636 with LON interface. Choose the actual digital/analog channel configuration and application firmware before plant replacement.
Do not transfer BACnet/OPC UA functions advertised for newer POL648 controllers to this POL638 code. Verify the specific firmware and extension-module licences from Siemens.
